I used to enter the caption contest every week. Maybe I’ll start up again. I loved your takes on this one. I like the one you submitted, but “Relax—t’s just a watch, not a warning” was my fave. Brilliant.
Yes! Please do start up again! I would so love to see other takes from people I sorta-kinda know? I'm always amazed to see how other minds work. The book is great, if you need a little motivation to get going.
I've also been compelled to enter the contest again because of that book but I keep getting some sort of error message and can't enter! I don't know what the universe is trying to tell me. Also, I like to say that the typos in newsletters are how you know they aren't written by AI.
Oh no! Y'know, I got one the other day on it too, I think on my phone. But it's worked fine on my laptop? I love, love, love that thought on typos. I for sure may have to steal that with credit. That is brilliant!
I have bested the system and created a second login with a different email! I tried my existing login on several browsers and my phone and felt the error was insurmountable.
In any event, I entered a caption for the beaver cartoon yesterday so I look forward to my fame and fortune rolling in.
These nuggs are so good. The bird on your baby egghead the baby owl, and the valentine, all hilarious. My picks for the captions is the watch, not warning and the privacy settings. Thanks for sharing your brainstorming. Your husband is a keeper. Besides, you need his help with the move. Just breathe, and fill one box at a time - it's all gotta go. Been there enough to know. :)
I found the image funny even without a caption. Son block is a good one. Those little darlings will find you anywhere. So I imagine they’re on vacation and of course their kid finds them.
Fantastic pun! And one I haven't seen yet as I've been up-/down-voting submissions. I *did* just see this one, which I almost sent to you: "Still better than Lake Erie."
I’ve entered the comic headlines too a few times. I thought I had some good ones but never heard back. Love your list for an odd comic.
My tea kettle does not get lonely. I think she likes being room temperature.
It's fun! My goal is to enter it every week. We'll see. Tell your tea kettle I said hi.
🤣❤️

Okay, I'm in!

I just entered mine and do not even one little bit feel good about it. Total stumper for me.
It took me a while too and honestly think mine may be a little too random? But a good exercise to try!

What if I hide in a box and just breathe? If you never hear from me again, that's why…
Always even numbered everything. And four light switches better all be down, obviously.
DAN NO now you have me looking at all of our light switches! I didn't need a new thing! Why Dan whyyyyyy

It puzzled me for a bit. This week's cartoon is even more vexing. I'm struggling!
The beavers and the column? It’s an ionic column… something along the lines of being more complex than the Doric in terms of taste????
I wish you could see me giggling and giggling.
"When's the last time you updated your privacy settings?" is awesome. Still giggling.
I will say the headline of this blog where you mentioned "divorce" was immediate click bait. I was like, "what?????????"
When I picture you, it's always giggling and giggling! You're dependable like that.
This oversees trip is not what I expected.

That is great… lakes humor.
I love short-attention-span Panicked Creator. (but you scared me with a divorce in the headline.)
Clickbait, baby! Nailed ya.
