What strikes me the most is that at such a young age, you said no to the original offer at Hallmark and told them what you really want to do - write greeting cards. There is a lesson here for all of us. Stay true to yourself and do what will give you more joy.
I can attest to that being a really hard way to get a job. They were lucky.
